Who Has Claim to the People's Gold: U.S. International Reserve Position

Whaaa? Scroll down & see that we're "swapping out" our gold! What does that mean: "if appropriate"? To my mind it is never appropriate! Believe me, a gold reserve of 8,171 tonnes is skimpy when stacked against the billions of fiat notes the Fed has printed. Come to think of it, I recall seeing Gold Certificates on a Fed financial statement. Are those Gold Certificates redeemable for the people's gold shown on the statement below? How can a private cartel like the Federal Reserve hold claims on our national treasure? We need an independent physical audit to straighten out this accounting chicanery!
And then, only another paltry +$68 billion in foreign currency? That's diddly-squat. No where near adequate enough to defend our dollar. All of which means we have to go to our knees and beggar thy neighbor.
You can begin to see why we never rattle our nuclear missile saber at Red China! Like any bully does, we'll confine our prey to the ne'r-do-wells like Iran, thank you very much. Communist good. Islam bad.
