Gaza

You notice I have been silent on the entire Gaza thing - what is there to say really? Bush the Second thought the answer to all the problems in the world was to give everyone democracy - Hamas gained power thought the ballot box. Mob rule is strange like that.

Now the Israelis are pounding Gaza with US weapons, technology and munitions with the world-wide impression they they do not act without US approval.

Really I do not see how this might affect us at all...nah we are good, nobody will hold any ill will toward the US for this.

Joshua is tracking the actual intelligent commentary on this event...go there.

  1. Some will hold ill will, and say, "America is Israel's ally and benefactor."

Others will hold the US in contempt, and say, "How pitiable the once-proud Americans are, who were once their own masters, and who are now puppets of Israel."

Ill will is dangerous enough, but pity and contempt might excite even more attacks. If the USA appears senile, some attackers might be stirred to attack because they believe their attack would succeed due to that senility.

  2. Many of us back Israel and think our actions (the U.S.) are too timid. After 9/11 we should have owned Syria and Iran. Their day of doom is long overdue. I guess we shall have to go over as citizen soldiers to do this right. Lord knows our Congress and Senate have no conscience or morals when it comes to standing up for our allies. I suppose we shall have to stand up to them too soon enough.
