Seems that a study conducted in Maryland indicates men are unlikely to seek required medical attention until after the completion of sporting events. We are not talking about athletes toughing it out to finish a game, this study concerned couch potatoes watching from the comfort of their homes.
In Nassau, Bahamas 34 year old Altulus Newbold was convicted to a punishment of eight lashed with a cat-o-nine-tails for attempting to rape an 83-year-old woman. To my paleoconservative mind this is darn good punishment (I might suggest 30 lashes in the public square at noon). The freak gets his behind spanked and it costs the taxpayer very little.
And here my friends is the textbook definition of hubris: (AP)
'If the U.S. keeps pestering us and increases pressure, we will regard it as a declaration of war and will take a series of physical corresponding measures,' the North's Foreign Ministry said in a statement carried by the official Korean Central News Agency. The statement didn't specify what those measures could be.
Yawn, so the neocons screwed up and gave these knuckle-heads the chance test their new toy - got it - but this bolstering is over the top.
And what of all this talk of blame Clinton for the North Korean nuclear test? Well he is a pretty good target, he is the idiot that signed the 1994 Agreed Framework, but here is the kicker - in 2002 GW released $95 million to North Korea for nuclear research. He did this while waiving the requirement for North Korea to allow inspectors in to make sure Dear Leader was not using all those funds in the wrong way.
The simple fact is both of these great leaders of the free world (Clinton and Bush) are idiots. As much as I disdain Clinton and as easy as it was and is to poke fun at him we have to place the bulk of the blame squarely on Bush. What the heck was he thinking in 2002? Why did he release money to NK without them first meeting their end of the bargain. Better yet, if he were a real conservative why did he not simply say that giving taxpayer money to a communist dictatorship is a dumb idea (whatever Clinton previously signed notwithstanding)?
